Student organizations and clubs enrich the campus experience. To form a recognized student organization, visit the Student Activities Office in room C2236 to obtain an application and guidelines. Active participation in these groups affords students the opportunity to network with community and business leaders, develop life-long friendships, compete in national and international competitions, study abroad, and develop a wide-array of skills that can be useful in the workplace. Atc Student Ambassadors Program
The Student Ambassador’s Program is students volunteering to connect incoming students, families, and special guests to Atlanta Technical College. Ambassadors represent the college at special events both on campus and within the community, all while enhancing their leadership and communication skills, building community connections, and creating lasting ties within the ATC community.
Collegiate Leadership Academy (CLA)
CLA is focused on increasing the recruitment, retention, and graduation rates of male high school and college students in the greater Atlanta area by providing intensive support services prior to and during enrollment at Atlanta Technical College.
Design And Media In Focus
The Design and Media in Focus is a pre-professional and social club for Design and Media students and other interested students. The mission is to encourage students’ interest and appreciation for Design and Media Production Technology. Students will expand their knowledge of multimedia skills needed to be successful in today’s Design and Media industry and build a supportive network with professionals in their field and community.
Foundation Setters For Future Minds
The purpose of FSFFM is to recognize the needs and desires of Atlanta Technical College (ATC) Early Childhood Education (ECE) students by providing a forum, support system and/or network where by ideas and communications related to school or business can be discussed.
Health Information Management Student Association (HIMSA)
The Health Information Management Student Association (HIMSA) was created to help promote and educate the community about the health information management profession through community activities and fundraisers; to promote career and educational development; and networking amongst students and staff in the Health Information Management and Technology program at Atlanta Technical College. The membership of this Association is open to members of the Atlanta Technical College students, faculty and staff.
International Student Club
The International Club is an organization that embraces the appreciation of global awareness and diversity of cultures. The club is an avenue for students of all cultural backgrounds to exchange information about the world and the importance of global citizenship. All Atlanta Tech students are encouraged to join.
National Technical Honor Society (NTHS)
Open to all students in degree and diploma programs. Students must have completed 25 hours at Atlanta Technical College with a 3.5 Grade Point Average. The National Technical Honor Society is service oriented with a focus on helping other students through activities such as tutoring or mentoring and assisting families in the local community.
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL)
Phi Beta Lambda (PBL), a national organization founded in 1958 with state and local chapters, was established for students interested in a career in business. The activities of PBL provide an opportunity for business students to prepare for business and office occupations. It helps students to learn more about our economic system and the business community. By participating in PBL, students are able to get practical experience in the business community. Students participate in local, state, regional, and national competitions.
Skilled Trades Employability Preparedness (STEP) Club
The purpose of the Skilled Trades Employability Preparedness (STEP) Club is to provide opportunities to engage students in multiple facets of the skilled trades and transportation industries. STEP is the division’s platform for showcasing the strengths, talents and leadership of its students, in addition to exemplifying excellence in their diverse academic fields. STEP will allow students to grow their leadership abilities as they pursue their trade and skill. STEP will motivate and provide its members opportunities to enhance their work ethics, and occasions to use their skill sets through exchanges with industry partners. STEP will establish a bridge of opportunities to and from the community Atlanta Technical College serves.
SkillsUSA
SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry representatives working together to ensure America has a skilled workforce. SkillsUSA helps each student to excel. More than 300,000 students and advisors join SkillsUSA annually, organized into more than 17,000 sections and 53 state and territorial associations. Combining alumni and lifetime membership, the total number served this year is more than 350,000. SkillsUSA has served more than 11.6 million members since its founding in 1965. SkillsUSA's mission is to empower its members to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible American citizens.
Student American Dental Hygiene Association (SADHA)
The purpose is to create a network of dental hygiene students, which provides an opportunity for them to discuss current relatable dental health issues and challenges involving their profession. Members will be kept up to date on new concepts, techniques, and products related to dental hygiene.
Student Government Association (SGA)
The purpose of SGA shall be to serve and represent the student body, provide a channel through which students may exhibit leadership, recommend activities that enhance student life outside the classroom, and provide for constructive discussion(s) leading to improvement of the College.
Technically Speaking Toastmasters
Technically speaking is part of Toastmasters International, a US headquartered nonprofit educational organization that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of promoting communication, public speaking, and leadership skills.
Veterans Club
This student leadership organization consists of enrolled students who currently serve or have retired from various branches of the United State Armed Forces. The club creates an environment where individuals (retired and enlisted) can socialize, address common issues, and participate in public awareness activities while attending classes on the college campus. The general purpose for organizing this club community is to assist our students with navigating through the college experience, obtain referrals for on campus and community resources.
Women In Technology (WIT)
WIT provides college women opportunities to explore and experience careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math (STEAM) fields. We do this by building strong partnerships among students, colleges, and companies, which allow us to provide relevant educational programs, internships, and scholarships possibilities for these college women.
