Logistics and Supply Chain Technician- TCC

Program Description

The Logistics and Supply Chain Technician certificate program is designed to provide a general knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes and practices, including logistics management basics, supply chain management and transportation management.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics growth in the field is expected to increase at a 22% rate through 2022.

Job/Career Description

Logistics managers analyze and coordinate an organization's supply chain-the system that moves a product from supplier to consumer. They manage the entire life cycle of a product, which includes how a product is acquired, distributed, allocated, and delivered. Logistics and supply chain managers oversee activities including purchasing, shipping and transportation, inventory, warehousing, and delivery. Graduates of this program may find entry-level employment as logistics coordinators in multiple industries.

Admissions Requirements

Must be 16 years of age
Completion of high school diploma or GED and submission of official transcript required to apply
Achievement of minimum program admission scores in Reading, English, and Math
Transfer of previous post-secondary credits will be determined by the Office of Enrollment Services

Student Performance/Graduation Requirements

Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete all required courses to graduate.


Program Outcomes

1. The student will understand and be able to apply the basics of supply chain management at the entry level position in the logistics industry.
2. Student will be able to perform accurate purchasing procedures.
3. The student will understand the procedures and requirements of materials transportation and logistics.
