Program Description

The Automotive Technology Diploma program is a sequence of courses designed to prepare students for careers in the automotive service and repair profession. Learning opportunities enable students to develop academic, technical and professional knowledge and skills required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. The program emphasizes a combination of automotive mechanics theory and practical application necessary for successful employment. Program graduates receive an Auto Technology diploma that qualifies them as well rounded entry-level technicians.

Atlanta Technical College’s Automotive Technology program is a partner of the Nissan Technician Training Academy, and students enrolled in the program may participate to complete industry certifications in addition to earning a college credential.

 

About The Program

The Nissan Technician Training Academy (NTTA) prepares students for a career as a factory-trained technician at Nissan or INFINITI dealerships nationwide. Students gain hands-on automotive diagnosis and repair experience to step into one a growing career field as a certified Nissan and INFINITI automotive technician.

In addition to earning a diploma in Automotive Technology from Atlanta Technical College, students will be eligible to receive industry certifications in the following:

•       Heating, Ventilations & Air Conditioning

•       Transmissions Diagnosis & Repair

 

NTTA graduates who complete and pass all six ASE certifications have the potential to become a Specialist Technician at a Nissan or INFINITI dealership.
