Program Description

The C++ Programmer certificate provides the opportunity for students and IT professionals to add skills in C and C++ object oriented program language to their IT knowledge base. Completers of this certificate are C++ Programmers.

Program Outcomes

1. Graduates will be able to use operating system resources in software development, including the use of C/C++ system calls to do process and file management and inter-process communication.
2. Graduates will be able to understand the program development environment, including the design of multi-module programs.
3. Graduates will be able to use programming tools to aid in the software development process, including the compiler and its options, the make utility, librarian, loader, and debugger.
4. Graduates will be able to understand some of the basic principles of networking and the internet, and how to access a network from the operating system.
