RNSG 2310 Professional Practice IX: Transitioning into Professional Practice

The purpose of this course is to provide a comprehensive review to include the essential content areas tested on the National Council Licensing Examination for the Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN). The course will align with the NCSBN 2019 test plan. Fundamental skills and strategies of test-taking will also be addressed. The content will include the four categories in alliance with NCSBN: safe & effective care environment, health promotion, psychosocial & physiological. Additionally, the following concepts will be addressed within the course: nursing process, communication, documentation, client education, delegation, and culture diversity. The concepts will enhance NCLEX preparation as well as transitioning into professional practice as a registered nurse. The content will include a preferred adaptive testing mastery examination geared towards the NCLEX-RN exam readiness. A comprehensive exam and an NCLEX live review will be conducted at the completion of the course. The goal of this course is to assist students to successfully pass the NCLEX-RN examination on the first attempt.
