Program Description

The Avionics Bench Technician certificate program is a sequence of courses that prepare students for employment in the field of avionics maintenance technology - aircraft electronics. Graduates of this program are qualified to work on aircraft electronics in avionics repair stations and should be prepared to sit for the General Radio Operating License (GROL) exam.

Admission Requirements

General College Admissions Requirements

 

The Aviation Maintenance Technician – Airframe program is highly competitive and in addition to the general college admissions requirements which can be found here: (link), there are additional criteria used for the admission of students into this program:

· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Must be able to attend day courses full-time, Mon-Thurs.
· Must attend an information session (Please check the website for session dates and times).
· Must complete a YouScience Assessment (Access to be provided at information sessions).
· Must complete an application for admission and submit all required documents by the specified program deadline rather than the general college admissions deadline. (Please check the website for program specific deadlines).

Students who successfully meet the above requirements will be ranked based on the order that their completed application was submitted, as well as their YouScience rankings for “Most Interest” and “Highest Aptitude.” The program will accept 25 students based on those rankings every time a new cohort begins.
