Air Conditioning Technology Diploma
Program Description (Major Code: ACT2)
The Air Conditioning Technology Diploma program is a sequence of courses that prepares students for careers in the heating and air conditioning industry. The program is designed to provide students with the basic knowledge, skills, work habits, and practical applications of air conditioning systems required for entry-level employment in today’s air conditioning industry. The Air Conditioning Technology program prepares students to efficiently perform in the installation, maintenance and service of air conditioning systems. Graduates of the Air Conditioning Technology Diploma program will also receive technical certificates of credit in Air Conditioning Technician Assistant and Heating and Air Condition Installation Technician.
Admissions Requirements
- Must be 16 years of age
- Completion of high school or GED and submission of official transcript required to apply
- Achievement of minimum program admission scores in Reading, English, and Math
- Transfer of previous post-secondary credits will be determined by the Office of Enrollment Services
Student Performance/Graduation Requirements: Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete all required courses to graduate.
