Logistics Management Degree (Program Code: LM13)

Program Description

The Associate of Science Degree in Logistics Management is designed with a large Pre-Business and General Education Core coupled with an occupational component of courses in Logistics Management.  The program mirrors the Pre-Business and Core Curriculum of Clayton State University which would enable a graduation to continue his education in Logistics at the university level.

Program Outcomes

1. The graduate will be able to provide a general knowledge of Supply Chain Management and the associated functions necessary for delivery of goods and services to customers.
2. The graduate will be able to introduce  the five basic forms of transportation and provides an understanding of the economic fundamentals underlying each mode.
3. The graduate will be able to provide an overview and study of technology used in the warehousing environment.
4. The graduate will be able to provide an introduction to materials management thought the planning production process, master scheduling, material requirements, and forecasting material demands and inventory levels.

5. The graduate will be able to provide the tools to communicate and interact more effectively in person, in writing, and on the telephone with both internal and external customers.
