New Student Orientation
Prior to each semester, all new students at Atlanta Technical College are encouraged to participate in a New Student Orientation session. Orientation sessions are completed online at the beginning of each academic semester and are designed to introduce new students to available services and resources, prepare them for success, and connect them with an academic advisor who assists with class registration. Staff members from the Academic and Student Affairs Division and Administrative Services Division are available to share important information regarding the services they provide.
Each academic department is responsible for planning and providing follow-up orientation as needed for new students entering their programs. The timing and format of orientation may vary by program—some departments offer orientation during the admissions process, others after acceptance and prior to registration, before the program begins, or during the first semester.
