Program/Major Change Within the College
Students enrolled in a degree, diploma, or certificate program at Atlanta Technical College who wish to change their academic program or major must adhere to the following procedures:
- Complete and Submit a Change of Program/Major Request
- Complete the Change of Program/Major Form which can be picked up in the Office of Enrollment Services.
- Forms must be submitted prior to the published deadline for the semester in which the change is to take effect.
- Meet Admissions Requirements
- Students must satisfy all admissions criteria for the new program, including any prerequisites, placement scores, or supporting documentation required.
- Credit Transfer Evaluation
- Previously earned credits may not transfer to the new program.
- The Registrar’s Office will conduct an official evaluation to determine which credits, if any, are applicable to the new program.
Note: Program changes may impact financial aid eligibility, time to completion, and tuition costs. Students are encouraged to consult with Enrollment Services, Registrar’s Office, Academic Advisor, Veterans Affairs and Financial Aid Office (if applicable) prior to submitting a request.
