Program Description
The Cisco Network Specialist program teaches how to build, maintain and troubleshoot computer networks. Students also learn how to connect these networks to other networks and the Internet.

Admissions Requirements
Must be 16 years of age
Completion of high school diploma or GED and submission of official transcript required to apply
Achievement of minimum program admission scores in Reading, English, and Math
Transfer of previous post-secondary credits will be determined by the Office of Enrollment Services
Student Performance/Graduation Requirements
Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete all required courses to graduate.
Curriculum
Program Outcomes
1. Create and manage a network environment with network operating system commands and a variety of troubleshooting tools (Windows, Linux).
2. Configure, maintain and troubleshoot routing protocols between routers.
3. Establish network connectivity (switches, VLANs, routers).
4. Install, configure and troubleshoot devices in the network (workstations, servers, routers).
5. Solve problems individually and in a team environment.
