The Social Media Specialist certificate prepares graduates to create and administer content on all social media platform to build an audience and ensure customer engagement. The specialist may also monitor site metrics, respond to reader comments, and oversee creative design.

Program Outcomes
1. Graduates will be able to develop and deliver professional and oral and written communication.2. Graduates will be able to develop web pages that include graphical elements, hyperlinks, tables, forms, and image maps
3. Graduates will be able to understand the role of marketing, marketing principles and marketing strategies used by businesses.
4. Graduates will be able to understand the environment and current trends of social media as it relates to marketing functions. Topics include: history of the internet and social media, social media dashboards, legal issues of social media, outsourcing vs. in-house administration, and the current social media ecosystem including applications in the following areas: communication, collaboration/authority building, multimedia, reviews and opinions, and entertainment.
