Motion Graphics Assistant TCC

Program Description (Major Code: MG21)

Love watching movies for the effects? Ever wanted to be a part of that process? The Motion Graphics Assistant certificate program prepares students for entry-level positions in the field of post-production for film and video. Students will be taught the basics of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator, and will work to develop a portfolio of material that integrates 2D and 3D design elements with live footage, audio, and visual effects.

Atlanta Technical College is a proud member of the Georgia Production Partnership, a coalition of companies and individuals who are active in the state's film, video, music, and interactive game industries. Our goal is to do whatever it takes to help grow the industry in Georgia.

Admissions Requirements

  • Must be 16 years of age
  • Completion of high school diploma or GED and submission of official transcript required to apply
  • Achievement of minimum program admission scores in Reading, English, and Math
  • Transfer of previous post-secondary credits will be determined by the Office of Enrollment Services

Student Performance/Graduation Requirements: Students must maintain a 2.0 grade point average and complete all required courses to graduate.
